We have the ability to detect glaucoma with technology that includes pachymetry, threshold visual field testing and Second generation Fourier Domain Optovue OCT. Exams for routine eye care, glasses, and contact lenses. Our office provides medical eye care, including diabetic eye exams, dry eye, retina checks, and many other medical conditions. Facilities and Equipment
The incredible Welch Allyn Suresight Autorefractor which is particularly helpful for preverbal children and nonverbal adults. Dr. Kozol uses Octopus-301 perimeter to measure peripheral vision. We are proud to offer the Topcon TRC-NW6S photography. This revolutionary technology allows the most important part of the eye including the optic nerve and macula to be documented in the form of a photo. Successive photos, from previous to current pictures, are evaluated for possible changes occurring in the retina.
This technology facilitates the early diagnosis and treatment of potentially sight threatening diseases. Retinal photography is a wonderful complement to the thoroughness of our eye exam, although, it does not substitute for the dilated exam. A complete eye exam should include an assessment of the retina to screen for potentially vision threatening diagnoses. That is why we observe the protocol of dilating the eyes.
